The transmutation table is locked after a release

Changing the table would move grades parents already hold. Take back the release, apply the table, then release again.

Why it locks

A released card is in a parent's hands. If the table changed underneath it, two different cards for the same term would be in circulation with nothing to tell them apart. So while a class has a release that has not been taken back, Grading rules shows Locked — a term has been released and the apply controls are gone.

Changing it anyway

  1. Open the class → Release cards.
  2. Press Take back the release, give a reason if you want one for yourself, and confirm with Take it back.
  3. Return to Grading rules, choose the table, read the Impact preview, and press Apply this table.
  4. Wait for the recompute. Faded numbers on the Grades page are still settling.
  5. Release again. The new cards carry a revision number, so nobody ends up holding two different cards with no explanation.

Decide with the preview, not after

The impact preview is the honest test. If it says no term grade changes with this table, there is nothing to reissue and no reason to disturb the release.

A custom table belongs to its class

A table you encoded on one class cannot be attached to another — encode it again there. This keeps a class's grades traceable to a table made for it.

Zero-based classes ignore the table

From SY 2027–2028 the packs are zero-based, and the engine ignores whatever table is attached: the initial grade, rounded, is the term grade, with 60 as the minimum. Grading rules warns you before you spend time encoding bands that will not be read.
