Why you are asked first
DepEd publishes the school calendar per year and schools adjust it, so SchoolAide Lite does not guess which months belong to which term. Attendance for a month lands in the term you put it in, and the report card totals follow from that. Until you answer, the register does not open.
Setting it
- Attendance → Months in each term. On a class where this has never been set, the calendar opens by itself and the register waits behind it.
- Tick the months under each term. The list runs June to May, the way a Philippine school year runs.
- Press Save the calendar.
The terms you see are your class's own — three terms, four quarters or two semesters, whichever the class was built with.
What follows from it
- Only assigned months get a month button on the register. A month you left out has no register at all.
- Put a month under one term only. A month ticked under two terms is counted in both of their totals.
- The line above the grid names the term the month counts towards, so you can check at a glance.
- Change the calendar later and the totals re-file themselves as soon as you save.
What if a term has no months yet
Mid-year that is normal. The panel under the register shows "No months yet" for that term, and its attendance stays empty rather than printing zeros on the card. Fill it in before you release that term.
If you close the calendar without answering
The register shows Start with your school calendar with a Set the months button. Nothing is lost; the question is just waiting.
