Choosing the days your class actually met

Start from the month's weekdays, then untick the holidays. Attendance is only ever counted against the days left.

Why the class's own days

DepEd counts attendance against the days school was in session, not against the calendar. A holiday, a suspension or a school event is not an absence for anyone, so the register only counts days you have ticked.

Setting a month's days

  1. Attendance → pick the month → School days.
  2. Start from every weekday fills the month with its Mondays to Fridays.
  3. Click any date to untick it. An unticked date shows struck through, and the line under the dates says how many days are counted this month.
  4. Done with school days closes the editor. The grid now has one column per ticked day.

The editor offers the month's weekdays only, so a weekend can never become a school day here.

A day that is not a school day cannot carry a mark

If a mark is somehow attempted on an unticked day, it is refused: "That day is not a school day for this class. Add it to the month first." A holiday you have unticked can never turn into an absence.

What if a holiday was ticked, and marked

Unticking the day removes its column from the grid, but it does not remove marks you already typed on it — and those still count in the term's absences. Clear them first:

  1. School days → tick the day back on.
  2. In the grid, click every x and L on that day back to blank.
  3. School days → untick the day again.

If a month has no days

The register shows "No school days set" for that month, with Start from every weekday to begin. Nobody can be marked until at least one day is ticked.
