Renaming or adding to the core values

Start from the DepEd four, reword them, or add up to eight rows. Renaming keeps every mark that is already under a value.

The four you start with

A class begins with the DepEd four — Maka-Diyos, Makatao, Makakalikasan and Makabansa — each with the behaviour statement the form prints beside it. The card reports on whatever list the class keeps, in the order the rows sit in.

Changing the list

  1. Conduct → Manage core values.
  2. Edit a name or its behaviour statement in place.
  3. Add a value for a row of your own. Eight is the most the card has room for.
  4. Remove takes a row out of the draft; nothing changes until you save.
  5. Save core values. The toast confirms the print order.

Use the DepEd four puts the original list back without wiping anything.

What renaming does to marks

Rows are matched by the row itself, not by its wording, so renaming Makatao to something your school says instead keeps every mark already under it.

Removing a value is not a deletion. Its marks are kept out of sight, the value stops printing, and adding it back under the same name revives the row with its marks intact.

What the form will accept

  • At least one value, at most eight.
  • A name on every row, under 80 characters. An empty row is refused with "Give every core value a name, or remove the empty row."
  • A behaviour statement under 400 characters. It is optional, and it prints only on the SF9 · Front and back layout — SF9 · One sheet has room for the name and the marks only.
