Creating a student account

Sign up with the email your adviser has on the class list, confirm it, and your classes link themselves.

Before you start

Ask your adviser which email address they have for you on the class list. Signing up with that exact address is what links the account to your name with nobody having to approve anything.

An account is optional. Report cards your adviser emails open without one.

Steps

  1. On the student sign-in page, press Create one.
  2. Type your birthdate. It is asked first because the rules are different under 18.
  3. Type the email your adviser has on file, and a password of at least 8 characters.
  4. If you are under 18, also give your parent or guardian's name and email. It has to be a different address from yours.
  5. Press Create account. You are signed in straight away.

What happens next

The page says "Confirm your email first". A link is on its way to your address and works for 3 days.

  • 18 or over: confirming the email opens the account and links you to every class list that carries that address.
  • Under 18: confirming the email sends the consent request to your guardian. The page then says "Waiting for your guardian" and shows no grades until they answer.

What if

  • The confirmation email does not arrive. Check the spam folder, then press Send it again. After three sends you have to wait an hour.
  • "That email already has a student account." Sign in with it instead. If the address is not yours to use, ask your adviser which one they have for you.
  • The birthdate is refused. It must be a real date in the past, and within the last 30 years.
  • You signed up with a different address from the class list. The account will not link on its own. Once your email is confirmed, adding the address to the class list afterwards does not link it either — use Join a class with its code on your portal page.
