Paste a column from Excel
- On the class record press P, or Paste from Excel. From a specific column, use its ⋮ menu → Paste a column here.
- Check Into which activity? is the one you mean.
- In Excel, select the score column only — first learner to last, in this roster's order, boys first then girls, each alphabetical. Do not select the names.
- Copy it, click the box, and paste.
- Read the Preview, in roster order on the right: each pasted line beside the learner it will land on. When it says 20 lines for 20 learners. Lined up., press Paste scores.
A blank line leaves that cell blank. X excuses. A header line such as "Quiz 1" is dropped for you. Nothing is saved until you press Paste scores.
Afterwards a banner says how many landed, and names the reason for any that did not.
Two shortcuts on the column menu
Open the ⋮ on the column header.
- Give everyone full marks puts the total points against every active learner. Scores already typed in that column are replaced, so use it first and lower the exceptions afterwards.
- Mark remaining blanks as 0 fills only the cells with nothing in them. Cells that already hold a score, and cells you excused, are left alone.
Both ask you to confirm, and both name the column and the number in the toast.
If the preview does not line up
The summary tells you before anything is saved: 22 lines for 20 learners: the last 2 will be ignored. Check the order. or 17 lines for 20 learners: the last 3 stay blank. A line the roster has no learner for is flagged in amber, and a value that is not a number is flagged in red. Fix the selection in Excel and paste again.
