What this screen is for
The class overview answers one question: what is still standing between this term and its report cards. Everything on it belongs to the term named in the picker at the top right, and the term is in the address, so a link to a term opens on that term.
When the pre-flight check finds nothing and nothing is waiting on you, the heading changes to Everything is in and the button turns into Release Term 1 report cards, named for the term you are on. Until then it reads Run pre-flight check.
The four numbers
- LEARNERS — active learners, with anyone transferred out counted underneath.
- SUBJECTS COMPLETE — how many learning areas are fully encoded for the term in view. A Kindergarten to Grade 3 class reads AREAS COMPLETE instead.
- CLASS AVERAGE — the mean of the computed term grades, with its descriptor. A descriptive class has no average and does not show this.
- ROSTER FLAGS — the roster health rows added up.
Encoding progress
One row per learning area, one column per term, so you can see who has not finished without asking anyone. The percentage is cells filled out of active learners × activities in that term — an activity you left out of the grade is not counted either way. The pill beside it reads Not started, In progress, Complete, or Not open for a term you have not reached. Click the learning area to open its class record.
Under each name is the teacher who owns that gradebook, and not yet linked if it is still a standalone gradebook.
Needs a decision
Only three things land here: a gradebook asking to link to this section, a learner claiming a portal account with an address that is not on your roster, and an invitation a teacher has not accepted. Each carries the button that settles it. It says All clear when there is nothing.
Roster health
Only rows that are not zero: no email address on file, an LRN missing or not 12 digits, the same LRN on two learners, and anyone transferred out. None of them blocks a release. A missing LRN never blocks a grade, and a missing email only means that card is printed instead of sent.
If you teach here but do not advise
The note at the top says so: the roster details, the other subjects and the release tools stay with the adviser. Your own subjects are still yours to encode.
