Archive
Class settings → End of the school year → Archive class, then confirm.
The class becomes read-only: no encoding, no roster edits, no releases, and the settings fields are locked. Exports and the report cards already generated stay available. It moves to the Archived · read only section on My classes, and it stops counting against your class limit.
Reopen
Open the archived class → Class settings. The note at the top of the page says Read-only. Exports still work. and carries Reopen. Only the adviser sees it. The class and its subjects go back to active straight away.
If an archived class needs one more change
Reopen it, make the change, archive it again. There is no limit on how often you can do this, and each archive and reopen is recorded against the class with your name and the time on it.
If the change is a grade that has already been released, re-release the card after it. The new card carries a revision number so nobody ends up holding two different cards with no explanation.
Delete
The red Delete this class card is at the bottom of Class settings. Delete class removes the section with its roster, its subjects, every score and every report card. There is no undo in the app: the class is soft-deleted and gone for good at the retention purge.
Take an export first — Grades → Downloads → Summary of grades gives you the consolidated record for the year.
If you only want to stop encoding, archive instead. Archiving is the reversible one.
The sample class
The sample class carries a note saying so at the top of its settings. Delete it the same way when you are done exploring; nothing else is affected.
